Hopscotch. The game traces it's origin to the Roman Empire and the empire's time in England. Originally Roman soldiers hopped up and down 100-foot-long hopscotch-like courts in full armor for agility and endurance training, and the oldest known court can be found in the Roman Forum. Kids in England took what they saw the soldiers were doing, made it their own and a world-wide phenomenon was born.
