Another one of the break dancers said the four of them were thirteen, although this guy looked to be thirteen going on twenty. Breakdancing didn't wash across the United States until the early 1980s, but Bronx gangs were having breakdancing showdowns in the 1970s, and many ultimately trace breakdancing's origins to moves inspired by James Brown and his song "Get on the Good Foot."
