 OK, The French Culinary Institute
on the corner of Broadway and Grand in New York City does not offer a
phone-a-chef course, but it will train you up for full chef-dom
in a mere 6 months, 9 months if you can only take night classes. They
call it their Total Immersion approach. If, however, you just want to
enjoy the fruits of the chefs in training, you can dine at the
institute's sister restaurant, L'ecole, which, of course, means "the school" in French. How witty.
